    "content": "On vaccines and immunisation programmes, the funding freeze has disrupted the procurement of critical vaccines, affecting approximately five per cent of Kenya's total vaccine supply, amounting to Kshs585 million. Counties with large immunisation coverage gaps such as Turkana, West Pokot, Mandera, and Garissa, face a heightened risk of vaccine-preventable disease outbreaks and this reduction in funding threatens Kenya's ability to sustain its routine immunisation programmes and respond to emerging public health threats, potentially reversing hard-won gains in child health."
