"content": "It is so embarrassing that it came from someone who purports to be a leader. He pretended that he had apologised to the Maa community. It is said that birds of the same feather flock together; you will understand why the Governor for Nyeri would use such derogatory language against an entire community—a very culturally rich community of the Maasai and the greater Maa communities, including the Samburu and the Rendille. I want to encourage the Maa nation to continue preserving their cultural practices as they have always done. All the other communities in our country and Africa at large should do the same so that our young people do not lose the values we were raised with. We were taught our way of life, which is better than adopting the Western way of life. Let us embrace the technological changes from the West while maintaining our cultural practices."
