    "content": "Mr. Speaker, Sir, the Government will conduct the next population and housing census from the night of 24th and 25th August, 2009. Implementation of the 2009 Census preparatory activities started in November, 2006 and are about to be completed. Results of the Census will provide a detailed account of the population at the administrative and political level. The census results will also give information on the demographic and social characteristics for the different administrative and political units. The information from the Census will provide baseline data for the Vision 2030 and the monitoring of the global initiatives such as the Millennium Development Goals and the International Conference on Population and Development."
