The wet season, which ordinarily commences around the month of March, which we are in, is characterised by very heavy rainfall, lightning, flooding, hailstones, and very destructive stormwater. Residents of the hilly Lake Victoria rain belt, including West Mugirango and Gusiiland, suffer immense loss of property, lives, and livelihoods during the rainy season.
