"content": "Kipsaraman, Bartabwa, and Barwesa Divisions all exist courtesy of him. He was a strong Christian and helped build AIC Kabartonjo and AIC Milimani with the late President Daniel Toroitich Arap Moi. They built AIC Milimani from a mabati building to what it is today. He also helped many people go to school. Most of us were young people during his time, and he lent us a helping hand. He is one of the few sons of Baringo North who owns a hotel in the Central Business District (CBD) of Nairobi. Most of those who came to Nairobi to start businesses did not own a single business in the CBD. He competed with those who arrived in Nairobi first. He owns the Grand Holiday Hotel on Accra Road in Ngara. It is good for you to know that. To sum it all up, this is a man who lived a full life. He was over 90 years old, and we thank God for the years he gave him. There will be a fundraising to support his funeral on Tuesday, 11th March 2025. The burial will be on Saturday, 15th March 2025, at his home in Ayiebo, Turkoin. Even Ayiebo High School, Moi High School Kabartonjo, Ossen High School and many other outstanding schools exist because of him. He set a firm educational foundation, which I have now taken over. For the record, it is important for this House to know that in the last Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE), courtesy of the schools I have mentioned, Baringo North was able to send 1,803 students to the university, achieving a 62 per cent transition rate. We are 50 plus one in terms of education. We have pumped in a lot of resources and human capital. I wish Hon. Kamket was here because the late Hon. Kamuren served in his constituency. Oh, Hon. Kamket, you are seated behind me. Please also give him an opportunity to pay tribute because he served in his place. May his soul rest in eternal peace. Thank you."
