He was the first Member of Parliament for Baringo East Constituency, which was later renamed Tiaty Constituency. Those of us from Tiaty Constituency, especially those of my age, do not remember him as an MP because we were not born at that time. He was an Independent MP as Tiaty is an Independence constituency.
