"content": " Mr. Speaker, Sir, has the Ministry finally installed the LIIM system, which the predecessor in that Ministry promised this House the last time they appeared on this issue? That was finding of this House in a delegation that you led. I think you were with the Senate Minority Leader, his Deputy and several Senators when we met Kenyans living and working in the United Arab Emirates (UAE). That is one of the requests that they made to this House. At the subsequent meeting and presentation by the Cabinet Secretary for Labour and Social Protection, they had committed as a Ministry that by the time they came to this House, they would have installed that system. Would that system answer many of the questions that Senators are asking about the enlisted companies and whether it is easily possible to trace Kenyans? The whole problem was supposed to be sorted by this system. My question to the Cabinet Secretary is whether that system has been installed, and if not, what is causing the delay, and how long until we get it? Lastly, we have the Chairperson of the Standing Committee on Labour, and Social Welfare with us here today. This House spent a lot of time towards the end of the last Session of Parliament doing an investigation on all these issues that are being raised. Unfortunately, that report never saw the light of day because it came at the end of the term of Parliament. We request that the Committee on Labour and Social Welfare invite Ministry officials for a session and a consideration of that report. They do not need to travel or do anything else. They need to move this House to adopt those recommendations as they speak about many of the issues Members of this House are raising this morning. I thank you, Mr. Speaker, sir."
