    "content": "It is the first time we are hearing that there was another legal opinion, which was sought with the Attorney-General. He gave an opinion that there was no legal basis for payment of this honorarium or the pensions to these councillors. That was in 2023. Therefore, from the time this matter was canvassed up to the 2023 – the legal issue that the Attorney-General raised - we do not know what happened and who is this trying to frustrate the councillors. If there is no legal basis, the Attorney-General should work tirelessly to ensure that we have a legal framework to give them their pension. I do not want my former colleague to go into this route.
