    "content": "Hon. Members, you will recall that during yesterday’s Afternoon Sitting on Wednesday, 5th March 2025, the House approved the appointment of Members to 41 committees. As you are aware, Standing Order 179(2) requires that whenever a vacancy arises in the office of chairperson or vice-chairperson of a select committee, the Clerk shall within seven days, appoint a place and time for the meeting of a committee to elect its chairperson and vice-chairperson. In that regard, I instructed the Clerk to prepare a schedule for the affected committees to convene and conduct the said elections.
