"content": " Hon. Temporary Speaker, the truth of the matter is that in our political space, women get it rougher than men. That is how it is in our society. Women aspiring for political positions are asked many questions that men who want to lead would never be asked. These include issues such as marital status and whether one has children or not. Men are never asked such questions. It is very important that we have an affirmative action for women so that we have more women legislators and leaders. This affirmative action should not just be for women, but also for the youth, minority communities and persons with disabilities. This will ensure that we have good representation of the whole population, and not just in terms of gender."
