    "content": "Madam Temporary Deputy Speaker, thank you for giving me this opportunity to make my contribution. First and foremost, I would like to thank my brother, Mr. Wamalwa, for bringing this Motion before this honourable House this morning because it is so important. It is addressing one important part of the society in Kenya who for a long time have not been given the necessary attention. It seeks to set up a fund for purposes of providing land to the squatters that have been left without a place to stay. They have been made not to feel like other Kenyans. This is a very important factor that this House should address seriously. This matter is long overdue and ought to have been in place many years back. When you go to the countryside and look at the number of people who are squatters, they constitute a big population of this country and cannot be ignored the way they used to be. So, for us to be a proud country, it is important that we think about those people and make sure that we have a legal framework in place that will enable them feel recognized and given their rightful place in society."
