(b) I am in the process of de-gazetting all members of the Land Control Boards who have served for more than five years. I am also scrutinising the list of nominees that have been submitted to my office by the District Commissioners to ensure that they conform to the guidelines as per circular sent to them. As for the case of Murang'a South, I have not gazetted the nominees because the list did not indicate who among them are councillors. Additionally, the nominees of Maragua Division did not conform to the gender requirement, that is, 30 per cent of either gender should be members. (c) I will gazette nominees from various Land Control Boards as and when they are received and verified as correct."
