"content": " Thank you, Hon. Speaker. I rise to support the Motion for consideration of the Second Supplementary Estimates for the current financial year as ably moved by the Hon. Deputy Speaker and seconded by Hon. Pukose. Being an economist, Hon. Makali Mulu would have wanted more details, but I believe he was also very busy reading the same Report. Kenyans across the country have been agitating for the rehabilitation of roads for which there have been no budgetary allocations. We have seen many industrial actions by the labour movements – the unions of doctors, teachers and members of the teaching fraternity in public universities – agitating for the implementation of Collective Bargaining Agreements (CBAs), which were supposed to be funded from revenues that were to be raised through the Finance Bill of 2024. Hon. Speaker, allow me to take this opportunity to thank the House and the many Kenyans who joined the Departmental Committee on Finance and National Planning during The electronic version of the Official Hansard Report is for information purposesonly.
