I rise pursuant to Standing Order No.53(1) to seek a Statement from the Standing Committee on Labour and Social Welfare regarding the staff recruitment, promotion, and development practices in the Nairobi City County Betting, Lotteries and Gaming Control Board. In the Statement, the committee should- (1) Provide an overview of the staff recruitment, promotion and development practices at the Nairobi City County Betting, Lotteries and Gaming Control Board. (2) Provide a breakdown of the staff complement by cadre at the board, stating whether the staff complement reflects the regional and ethnic diversity of the people of Kenya and if not, explain what is being done to remedy the situation.
