I rise pursuant to Standing Order No.53(1) to seek a Statement from the Standing Committee of Labour and Social Welfare regarding the transfer of the gender desk from police station to a public hospital. In the Statement, the committee should provide- (1) A status update on implementation of the presidential directive issued on 20th November, 2024 regarding the transfer of gender desks from police stations to public hospitals to ensure that victims of Gender-Based Violence (GBV), receive immediate medical attention and police support at the same time.
