    "content": "Mr. Deputy Speaker, Sir, there are a lot of improvement activities. We have the Kenya Livestock Breeders Organisation, which is a very effective and active organization. It participates a lot in the shows. We have the Central Artificial Insemination Centre at Kabete. Bearing in mind the budgetary challenges and other personnel issues, a lot is being done to improve, not just the Zebu, but all the gene pools that we have. We are also trying to protect them. I will bring to Parliament the National Policy on Breeding in the nation because there has been a lot of haphazard and ad hoc ways of breeding in this country. We have lost some very vital genes to other countries."
