    "content": "Mr. Speaker, Sir, I rise pursuant to Standing Order No.53 (1) to seek a Statement from the Standing Committee on Agriculture, Livestock and Fisheries regarding the shortage of certified seeds at the Kenya Seed Company Limited. In the Statement, the Committee should address the following- (1) The current shortage of certified maize seeds at the Kenya Seed Company Limited. (2) The measures in place to ensure the availability of seeds in the view of approaching planting season. (3) The availability and quality of other certified seeds at the said company. I thank you."
