Speaker, these names are necessary for the operationalisation of the NG-CDF, especially since the NG-CDF Board has released some money which is meant for the bursaries though it is not sufficient. However, we cannot operationalise the same because we lack signatories to these funds since the term for the previous committees has expired. I know that Hon. Members are having it difficult, especially with the CDFCs in the various constituencies in paying bursaries for the students. The amount of money we have received so far is only Ksh14 billion out of the Ksh54 billion we expect to receive this year, yet we are in the final quarter of disbursement. It is high time the National Treasury released the balance so that development can go on. We have various classes, especially for Grade 9 and also preparation to expand several secondary schools in preparation for next year’s Grade 10. That cannot be achieved unless this money is released timely to be able to support the various educational and emergency needs in various constituencies especially now that the rains are there. Roofs are leaking, toilets are sinking and all other infrastructure which require to be supported by this Fund. We need National Treasury to look at it and be able to give us enough funding to disburse to every constituency. Hon. Speaker, I beg to move."
