    "content": "Hon. Members, I have the following Communication to make. Section 9 of the National Gender and Equality Commission Act, 2011, provides that the National Gender and Equality Commission shall consist of a Chairperson and four other members. Further, Section 11(6) provides: “Until after the first general election after the commencement of this Act, the President in consultation with the Prime Minister, shall within seven days of receipt of the names forwarded under subsection 5, nominate one person for appointment as chairperson and four persons for appointment as members of the Commission and shall forward the names of the persons nominated to the National Assembly.” By a letter from the Office of the Permanent Secretary, Secretary to the Cabinet and Head of the Public Service, dated 19th October, 2011, the National Assembly has been advised that His Excellency the President has, in consultation with the Right Honorable Prime Minister, nominated the following persons to be considered for appointment as chairperson and member of the National Gender and Equality Commission:-"
