    "content": "it is against this background that I request the Chairperson of the Departmental Committee on Trade, Industry and Co-operatives on the following: 1. A report on the guidelines on large cash withdrawals and financial security measures for SACCOs and the reasons why the management of Nakoyonjo SACCO Society withdrew Ksh25 million in cash at once instead of using electronic funds transfer or withdrawing the money in smaller amounts for security reasons. 2. The circumstances surrounding the theft of Ksh25 million at the entrance of Ushirika Bank, the status of investigations into the incident, and the steps being taken to recover the stolen funds, and hold the culprits accountable. 3. Clarification on whether co-operative societies are required to have insurance cover against theft, fraud, and other financial risks, whether Nakoyonjo SACCO Society was insured and that the stolen funds can be indemnified.
