(a) How many bags of maize are estimated to be harvested during the 2011 long rains season? (b) How many bags has the National Cereals and Produce Board (NCPB) projected to purchase during the period and how much money has been allocated for the purpose? (c) What plans have been put in place to ensure that farmers are paid on the spot for deliveries to the Board and what action will the Ministry take to ensure that uncontrolled importation of maize does not create a glut in the local market?"
