"content": "Mr. Speaker, Sir, the Assistant Minister has told the House that Kenyans will harvest 29 million bags of maize during this season. But he has said that it is only Kshs3 billion that could be available to buy the maize. That money is not available now to buy the maize. Could the Assistant Minister tell us how much it would cost the Government to buy the 29 million bags of maize and, at the same time, tell this House how much the Government is spending by importing maize while we have maize in Kenya that is ready for purchase?"
