    "content": "Thank you, Mr. Speaker, Sir. I seek a Ministerial Statement from the Minister for Youth Affairs and Sports in relation to the Sports Fund, so that her statement can address the following issues:- (i) In this year’s Budget, this House approved a sum of Kshs1 million for each constituency to be utilized in accordance with the guidelines issued by the Ministry for the purposes of promoting sports, especially football in the constituencies. The actual amount that has been disbursed by the Ministry to the constituencies is actually Kshs771,000 and not Kshs1 million. What are the reasons for the reduction of that allocation? (ii) Did the Ministry consult with the National Assembly or the Members of Parliament (MPs) on the decision to reduce the allocation? (iii) The amount retained by the Ministry throughout the country works out to Kshs48 million. What role do the MPs and their respective Constituency Sports Committees have in the way that money will be utilized?"
