    "content": "Thank you, Mr. Deputy Speaker, Sir. Last week on 1st April, 2025, I raised a Statement under Standing Order No.53(1) before the House on the happenings within the County Assembly of Nyamira County. It was on the division that had led to the creation of two factions of county assemblies within the County of Nyamira. Your office directed that this matter be handled with the utmost urgency. I want to report to the House that on 8th April, 2025, the Standing Committee on Devolution and Intergovernmental Relations had a meeting with the two factions of the County Assembly of Nyamira, together with presentations from the Office of the Controller of Budget. In view of the urgency surrounding this matter, and to ensure that there is restoration of normal operations within the County Assembly o Nyamira, I seek that the Chairperson of the Committee gives a progress report to the House next week. Thank you."
