"content": " Thank you, Hon. Speaker. The Cabinet Secretary for Education has just said that teachers are hired depending on who graduated earlier. I have a case of one Esther Nekesa Wanjala, a resident of Kware in Embakasi South Constituency, who graduated in 2013 but is yet to be employed. There are others who graduated in 2020 and 2022, who have been hired and yet, Esther is still out there without employment. Therefore, the Cabinet Secretary should ensure that the TSC recruitment policy is followed to the letter. Teachers who graduated earlier should be given the first priority when the employment opportunities arise. Some teachers are in their early 40s and mid 40s and yet, they are still tarmacking out there. Esther has applied to be employed 24 times. There was a year when she tried twice."
