At one point, Homa Bay was one of the counties that had very low usage of condoms, but following a lot of civic education, which the Member for Homa Bay was a keen participant, the use of condoms in Homa Bay County has become prevalent. This has reduced the infectious Sexually Transmitted Diseases (STDs), including HIV and AIDS, in Homa Bay County."
