    "content": ": Thank you, Hon. Temporary Speaker. I thank all contributors to this Bill. I ask my sister Hon. Zamzam from Mombasa not to link miraa with cancer. Other things happen. Even people who do not chew miraa get cancer. It is something which happens all over the world. Cancer is not just a disease in Meru or Kenya. It is a disease all over the world. I have one request to the House. My Bill was read the First Time on 15th February 2023. It has taken more than two years to reach this stage. I request the House to speed up consideration of private Members’ Bills. It is not good that it takes more than two years to get one Bill through Parliament. I also thank our new Governor, Rev. Isaac Mutuma. He has talked about cancer. We are asking the national Government to establish a cancer centre in Meru. We have the highest cancer rate since 25 per cent of patients who go to Kenyatta National Hospital are from Meru. With those few remarks, I thank all. Hopefully, we will pass this Bill at the Committee of the whole House stage. Thank you, Hon. Temporary Speaker."
