Temporary Speaker, I beg to move the following Procedural Motion: THAT, this House resolves to exempt the Business appearing as Orders 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16, 17 and 18 in today’s Order Paper from the provisions of Standing Order 40(3), being a Wednesday morning, a day allocated for Business not sponsored by the Majority or Minority Party or Business sponsored by a Committee. Everyone here knows that Wednesday morning sittings are set aside for Private Members’ Business. However, this Procedural Motion seeks to exempt Business that does not fall under that category, so that we can consider it for today. As we are all aware, we have about two weeks to go before we proceed for the long Recess, which begins from 1st May 2025. It is only fair that we dispense with very urgent business, which includes, the Reports of the Committees on the vetting of various principal secretaries, cabinet secretaries, and many other reports. We also need to consider the Anti- Money Laundering and Combating of Terrorism Financing Laws (Amendment) Bill. It is only fair that we exempt such Business, being a Wednesday morning, so that we can dispense with it as quickly as possible. I beg to move. I also request Hon.
