    "content": "The Committee conducted the approval hearing on Friday, 4th April 2025, and in conducting the approval hearing, the Committee observed as follows: 1. That Mr Millah started his career as a technician at Kenya Power. He also has extensive experience in different corporations, both within and outside Kenya. 2. The nominee holds an MBA from Mount Kenya University. He portrayed considerable knowledge and understanding of the shipping and maritime sector. He exhibited exemplary knowledge of topical, administrative and technical issues in the maritime sector and has the requisite qualifications and experience to serve as Principal Secretary for Shipping and Maritime Affairs. 3. The nominee meets the requirements of Chapter Six of the Constitution and provided all the documentation necessary for approval as Principal Secretary for the State Department for Shipping and Maritime Affairs. 4. The nominee has the experience, knowledge and qualification to be appointed to the position of Principal Secretary for the State Department for Shipping and Maritime Affairs. He showed great enthusiasm and great ideas to harness resources within the maritime sector for the betterment of Kenya. Based on the observations, the Committee recommends to this House to approve the appointment of Mr Aden Abdi Millah as the Principal Secretary for the State Department for Shipping and Maritime Affairs.
