"content": "The KEMSA rate is about 47 per cent. For us to succeed, we must increase the rate in terms of drugs and equipment to 90 per cent. We are looking for a way to partner with financial institutions to support KEMSA so that the drugs go the distance. The last question was from the Member for Mathira, a very good friend of mine and an active Member. You talked about ICU. We increased the ICU coverage limit from Ksh4,000 to Ksh28,000. Under the defunct NHIF, ICU coverage was at zero. They were not paying for the ICU, surgeries or cancer. The maternity cover was very low. Kenyans enjoy more benefits under SHA which enables them to live a healthy life. SHA is meant to give us quality and affordable healthcare. Hon.
