    "content": "Mr. Speaker, Sir, those people had political connections so that they could make a telephone call to people with political influence so that they could get released whenever they were in a fix. It is good that the Chairman, Mr. Kioni and some hon. Members of the Committee are here. Kenyans would like to know the politicians, businessmen, judicial officers and police operators who have been compromised by these gangsters. I would like to know the protective measures we will take in future to make sure that this does not happen. We may not have these problems in Garsen or in the larger Coast Province, but what will we do so that we do not have this problem in those regions in future? We would like the Members of this Committee to do a thorough job. They should also look at the issues clearly because Kenyans are interested in knowing the truth. We would like them, as we extend their time today, to look at these inter-related structures so that they can name the people who are involved when they come here. We want names so that we can deal with that matter once and for all."
