    "content": "Mr. Deputy Speaker, Sir, as my colleague has stated, this Senate is alive, our committees are alive and events are happening. These reports were filed on the Floor of the Senate. They were only able to be scheduled for reading today. Mr. Deputy Speaker, Sir, the events that are unfolding is part of the committee’s work and the onus is upon us to keep tabs on what our committees are doing in our counties so that we get to understand what is happening. I took it upon myself to understand the engagement in Mandera, Wajir and Marsabit. I have even developed keen interest to find out where they are visiting next because this is what will improve the profile of the Senate, the oversight responsibility that the Senate has and it will ensure that the Senate is taken very seriously. Our oversight role should not only be limited to invitations, but also first-hand information. Mr. Deputy Speaker, Sir, I beg to support."
