According to Occurrence Book (OB) No.05132025 at Nyamasibi Police Station, a Mr. Evans Obiero, his wife Kerubo, and three children have fled their home after receiving death threats from armed gangs over polygamy-related land disputes. In Siaya, nine family members were burned to death on an arson attack in Sigomere, Ugunja Sub-County on the 22nd April, 2025, over a land dispute."
