    "content": " Thank you, Hon. Speaker. In consideration of your Communication, it may not be my place to speak, as my Chairman is present, but I do not wish to lose the moment. Having forwarded the nominees to the Departmental Committee on Justice and Legal Affairs, I was hoping you would provide further direction in light of events that have since occurred. The Chairperson, Hon. Murugara, informed us and we were notified of a court case that was subsequently filed and that a stay was issued and that the matter is coming up again on the 29th. I believe this has placed the Committee in limbo and prevented it from undertaking what it ought to have and yet, the wording of Section 8 of the Act to which you have just referred appears to be mandatory, within 14 days.
