    "content": "The real cause of the inconsistency in the depreciation of assets is that the hospital erred in applying the reducing balance at the rate of 30 per cent instead of the prescribed straight- line method of depreciation, which misrepresented the current value of computers and related accessories. In the next Report, which we will be looking at, the effect was such that the hospital adopted the reducing balance method of depreciation, which reduced the price of most assets to zero.
