Chairlady, I beg to move: THAT, Clause 20 of the Bill be amended by deleting subclause (1) and substituting therefor the following new subclause— (1) A public officer shall not acquire an interest in a partnership, private company or any other legal entity that is a party to a contract with any reporting entity under which the partnership, private company or legal entity receives a benefit. Again, this relates to acquiring interest. It also relates to reporting entities. As I said, we had sought to restrict the provision to the PSC, the JSC and the EACC, but it has been widened to mean any reporting entity. Thank you, Hon. Chairlady."
