"content": " Thank you, Hon. Temporary Speaker for giving me this opportunity. My concern is that there is an alarming rise in cases of femicide. Many young girls are being found dead. Last week, two girls in Siaya were found dead. One, a student who was called, God knows by who, was found raped and murdered. I know the President has tried and given some money towards sensitisation, but when the security agencies are very minded in finding the culprits, they act fast. Would I be wrong to ask that they prioritise the issue of gender-based violence? We are losing many of our young girls. When you have such cases, in the same way that we are moving with a lot of speed over other crimes, we should move with the same speed to arrest the culprits. Otherwise, they will continue murdering girls because they know they can get away with it. Thank you."
