"content": "I will begin by observing that the proposed Political Parties (Amendment) (No.2) Bill (Senate Bill No.26 of 2024) can only be described as one of the most insensitive Bills to public interest that I have ever seen on the Floor of the House. The Bill seeks to elevate the interests of the political class above public interest. It serves the short-term political interests of the two current dominant political parties."
