We are very loud and confident as a country that agriculture is the backbone of our economy. However, many factors cause us to lag behind in this sector. One of the major challenges is the lack of vibrant extension officers, which has led to farmers harvesting low- quality produce and livestock that do not meet market standards and are not attractive to the market.
