    "content": "brought to the House as soon as possible so that they can be debated and enacted into law. Of special interest, are the policies on land. For example, the National Land Policy is a policy that is long overdue. We have many problems with human-wildlife conflict. It is a major problem. We need to come up with a new wildlife policy and Act so that wildlife management can be done in a modern way. Madam Temporary Deputy Speaker, there is the issue of policy on science, technology and innovation. We are in the 21st Century where knowledge is the commodity that is driving the economy of the world. This country has no policy on science, technology and innovation. So, we cannot expect to move without such a policy. I hope that this policy will also be brought to this House so that we can debate and pass it. Other policies that are of national interest that should be fast-tracked to this House include the National Social Protection Bill, National Policy on Old Persons and Ageing, National Policy on Disability and the National Policy on Fire and Disaster Management. The other policy that should be brought to this House is a policy on alcohol. Alcohol is proving to be a major killer of our youth and we must find a way of managing it. So, we need an alcohol policy which will set out better ways of handling the same."
