    "content": "Mr. Deputy Speaker, Sir, the President cited a few dams that he wants utilised for irrigation in this country. In his Speech, he did not touch on anything to do with the famous dams that we have along River Tana Basin. We have Masinga, Kindaruma and Kiambere dams. There are quite a number of dams in those places, but they are only used for hydro-power. I am aware that these dams were not only meant for hydro-power, but also for irrigation. Right now, the Government has plans for the Grand Fall Dam. It is my belief and hope that this time, the Government will not only think of production of hydro electricity, but also irrigation."
