Speaker, pursuant to the provisions of Standing Order 44(2)(c), I wish to request for a statement from the Chairperson of the Departmental Committee on Administration and Internal Security regarding insecurity in Isiolo County. There have been reported cases of insecurity in Isiolo County, allegedly by persons who are sponsored by the Governor of Isiolo County. This has caused havoc to residents, including the Members of County Assembly of Isiolo. For instance, on 25th June 2025, the said group of assailants attempted to illegally invade the County Assembly during its Sitting while debating a Motion on Impeachment of the Governor, resulting in the destruction of properties and injury to persons."
