Members, you may recall that this House passed the National Lands Commission (Amendment) Bill, 2023 on 13th March 2025, following which I presented the Bill to His Excellency the President for assent in accordance with the provisions of Article 115 of the Constitution. Similarly, the Cancer Prevention and Control (Amendment) (No. 2) Bill (National Assembly Bill No. 45 of 2022) was passed by the Houses of Parliament on 15th April 2024 and thereafter submitted to His Excellency the President for assent in accordance with the provisions of Article 112(2)(a) of the Constitution."
