    "content": "It is against this background that I request for a Statement from the Chairperson of the Departmental Committee on Defence, Intelligence and Foreign Relations on the following: 1. A report on the status of investigation into the disappearance of Mr Reuben Barua in the USA; 2. Measures being undertaken by the Ministry of Foreign and Diaspora Affairs to assist in locating the whereabouts of Mr Barua, including coordination with U.S. authorities and provision of regular updates to his family; and, 3. Long-term strategies taken by the Government to enhance the safety and welfare of Kenyans travelling abroad. Thank you, Hon. Speaker."
