"content": "Mr. Temporary Deputy Speaker, Sir, the Minister for Finance, in his wisdom, has curtailed major projects, including hospitals. In the interest of business, infrastructure is critical. There is a problem here because it is like having chicken and an egg. How can you spur economic growth if you do not develop our roads? How can you collect more revenue if people are not trading? How can you resuscitate investor confidence if you are throwing words at each other and there is no political harmony in this country? You want an investor to come from London and invest in Kenya when your money, which is obtained in the right way or is ill-gotten is lying in Swiss banks? It does not make any economic sense."
