Members, in view of the urgency of this matter, I direct that the names and Curriculum Vitae of the nominees for appointment to the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission be forwarded to the Constitutional Implementation Oversight Committee (CIOC) for due consideration. Hon. Members, in giving these directions, I am guided by the precedents of directions previously given from the Chair and in particular the rulings made on 2nd June 2011 and 20th July 2011, referring the names of the nominees of persons to serve as Chief Justice, Deputy Chief Justice and Director of Public Prosecutions and those to serve on the Selection Panel for the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission, to this Committee for its consideration prior to approval by the House. I direct further that the CIOC deliberates on the nominees and tables its report on or before Thursday, 3rd November, 2011. Thank you."
