    "content": "Mr. Temporary Deputy Speaker, Sir, I think one thing which has happened in this country is that there has been neglect of the agricultural sector by the Government over the last ten years. There has been no proper attention given to agricultural policies in order for agriculture to perform the way it should. A lot of people have talked about lack of food. We have a shortage of food because of the failure to adhere to the right policies to support agricultural production. So, there is lack of agricultural production because of various issues. One of them being the high cost of inputs like fertilisers, fuel and agricultural chemicals and to some extent the seed prices."
