    "content": "Mr. Temporary Deputy Speaker, Sir, another problem we have in the country is the high cost of fuel. Petroleum products are so expensive. The world price of crude oil is about US$36 per barrel and yet the price of diesel is over Kshs70 and petrol price is still very high. It is as if the price of crude oil is about US$70 per barrel. So, something must be done to bring down the cost of fuel. I think the cost of fuel is not coming down because of cartels in the oil companies. The Government promised to control the prices but they were unable to do it because of the advice from the National Social and Economic Council which I think was miscalculated because the behaviour of the oil companies is not the proper one to support the economy."
