"content": "For the last 30 years, trade relations between Kenya and the European Union (EU) have been based on the non-reciprocal trade preferences which granted nearly all products originating from Kenya and other African, Caribbean and Pacific (ACP) countries duty free access to the European market. The above trade relations well known as the Lome Convention came to an end in 2000 due to the challenges from the World Trade Organisation (WTO) members as it was against multilateral trade regime rules."
