    "content": "Mr. Temporary Deputy Speaker, Sir, as a Ministry, we get an allocation. These monies are released by the Treasury in tranches. So far, we have received Kshs950 million. We are borrowing another Kshs2 billion so that we can continue purchasing maize at the moment. As I speak, the farmers’ stock as at 30th September, 2011 stands at 8.3 million bags. The trader stocks are at 1.5 million bags; millers, 1.1 million bags; NCPB, 2 million bags; and the total number of bags at the end of September, 2011 is 13 million bags of maize."
